Introduction
The Cheshire Ancestor Search aims to provide a web-based implementation providing the functionality of the NTS_Index spreadsheet and index developed by Joe Dunn, Geoff Johnson and others. This allows access to the PDF editions of the Cheshire Ancestor (CA) journal via an index of the contained articles.
The original Cheshire Ancestor Search was implemented in Joomla! version 4, using a set of zero cost Joomla extensions. This version is a reworking of that implementation, in Joomla! verion 5, based around the Fabrik database utility that has already been adopted for the existing FHSC site at https://fhsc.org.uk
